Aug 20th 1864 Saturday morning was wet and Drizzling after we got our breackfast we got orders to move about 1/2 a mile which we done and fixed up our tents and quarters it was then 2 PM and we was immediately called out for picket duty without any dinner we was marched out to the line where I got on the reserve post which suited me very much there was 12 of our com together on
