Sep 6th 1864 Tuesday morning was wet and raining when we got up we was a smoking but we built up two large fires and got dried off and the ballance of the day we feasted on our forrage that we got yesterday while out a skirmishing. It rained all day lightly and kept every thing wet. Tomorrow we are to go picket guard at 7 1/2 AM
