Sep 8th 1864 Thursday morning was bright clear and cool. Our Reg't was up and out in line at day break with their arms and accouterments and held themselves in readiness till after sun rise at which time we relieved ourselves of our accouterments There was nothing of any account a going on till evening there was garrison and camp equipage signed for
