Sept 15th 1864 Thursday morning was wet and damp. We was ordered out in line at 4 AM this morning with our accounterments and arms and we had to stand in line till after sun rise. The boys spouted considerable but we had to bare it I wrote a letter to my family to day and in the evening I got one from home
