Sept 18th 1864 Sabbath morning was clear and pleasant There was Com inspection at 9 A.M At 10 AM we got orders to pack every thing up that was to go on the waggons and put it on and be ready to move at a moments notice we fixed up and lay on our ores ready till 5 PM the orders came to stay we put up our tents and fixed up for the night
