33. The Eye Plate XXV -- In this plate we have a section of the layers of the eye from the outside, inward. The two different layers, beginning at the lower side of the figure, belong to the sclerotic coat: the first is a fibrous connective tissue, the second of cartilage and showing large cartilage cells. The first black layer forms the choroid coat, and the rest of the layers belong to the retina, the structure of which will be described in the next plate.
