He sniffed and said, "Aw, gee whiz, Dee, there wont be any mail, and besides, I never git none." I registered pained surprise at his rudeness and said, "I thought perhaps I'd hear from Conger today." That was sufficient. When he heard his hero mentioned, he fairly flew up the street, and the light from his beaming countenance fairly dazzled my eyes, as he came launching down the street with a fist full of letters. I immediately retired to my room to read them, but the kids followed me everywhere, all over the house, until Aunt Flo caught them at it. They were so anxious to hear what you had to say. I read parts of the letters to them. I suppose by night
