It seems that the students there have, at times, that dangerous thing called pep, and he told me of a time he spent in some hotel - oh, quite the best one there - and he couldn't sleep at night because some awful students kept him awake. Undoubtedly they had been ------------------ drinking. Decidedly, Iowa City was a dreadful place!!! I said, "Oh, how unfortunate! That place will probably be my home." Then with a knowing smile, he said, "Well, you may like the place, and it will probably be some time before you'll need to worry about the University problem." I said, "I don't know about that; you see, my husband is one of the instructors." Oh child! I wish you had been there to enjoy it with me. On the strength of the deal we all went to an ice cream
