I'm very anxious to read them, not only because of the facts in them, but because I want to compare his remarks over there with his remarks over here. I heard him talk several times over there, and his remarks never in any way accused the Germans. Of course real diplomacy would forbid his doing so, but he needn't have gone to such lengths to say things favorable to Germany. Never say to me again that I couldn't live in France because of no bath tubs. I am almost ashamed to look at myself in the mirror. I've not had a tub bath since I left K.C. -- that is, in a real bath tub. Can you beat it? How people can go for years like that is more than I can see. Dearest, I'm so glad you look forward to getting my letters, tho what you can find in them is a mystery to me. There is nothing of interest to tell you.
