put a satisfying finish to the day. And while I am speaking of celebrations may I tell you that I remember today as the anniversary of our picnic at Fort Snelling? I'll never forget what a good fellow you were to come out and turn my imprisonment into fun. Do you remember the camp fire and the mosquitos and the frenzied time we had getting you back to town? And that very silent walk we took? I had the hardest time thinking of anything to say that night - perhaps because it was then that for the first time I thought it possible you might be more than casually interested. And it was a thought that gave me a lot to think about that I couldn't say. Dearest, I love you to pieces! Your Hubsand. Conger Reynolds 2nd Lt. AGD
