German nation that we're fighting today. The author's understanding of the basic faults in the German ideals has since been supported by much evidence some of which I have seen at first hand. But never mind all that. Read the book for the power it has as a story. I might say in explanation that the book came from Norris as a Christmas gift. I stuck it in my trunk and did not read it until recently, since when I have been intending to send it home for you to read and stow away somewhere. While I am on the subject of reading. I am going to ask whether you would buy an Atlantic Monthly occasionally and send it to me. I get a-weary of the punk nonsense in the S.E.P. I should like too, once in a while to see an Everybody's or a Harper's - if you could - without too much trouble. All's well here, dearest. And with you? I love you. Conger Conger Reynolds 2nd Lt.
