127 Daphne dearest,-- Quite to my surprise two more letters from you arrived last night. As they were of dates considerably prior to other letters I have received, I was not expecting them now. I am powerfully glad they came, because they are wonderful letters; I'd rather have them than anything that can come along over here. Moreover, they arrived at the end of a terrible day and helped me to decide that life is not such a tough proposition after all. You see we were all ready to move. Yesterday morning we had even got to the point of loading all our office equipment and furniture
