and peeved at the teacher whose room is just across from the bell, so this cute Senior approached Maggie with a box of mints and said, "Maggie I'm late for breakfast every morning because we can't hear the rising bell up in Senior hall. The next morning Mrs. S-- had to drag Maggie away from the bell rope. It was awful. Everyone tho't the place was on fire, and to add to the effect, the people of Nevady, who have recently got a new fire engine, chose that time to practice. It took lots of talking to persuade some of the girls to put down their belongings and dress, when they heard the Red Devil come screaming up "Cherry Street" It's so quiet here that I feel all funny inside. I'm glad I'm leaving. The only real noise aside from what I make packing, is the continual fighting
