way paved most of the way and we were back in Paris. After dinner I worked with Lieutenant Morgan until fairly late. I had just gone to bed when the sirens on fire-wagons shrieked through the streets warning that an air raid was coming. Soon the guns opened putting up a barrage. I listened to the roar for awhile - and then proceeded to go fast asleep in the midst of it. If you like thunderstorms I think you would like a Paris air raid. Dear, it is now 3:30 in the afternoon. I have written this in pieces between many pauses to look after affairs. I'll stop now and next time try to be coherent. I wish you would go to dinner with me tonight and for a ride afterward up the Champs Elysees. Will you. I love you, oo-oo-ooh! Conger Conger Reynolds 2nd Lt AGD [censors seal]
