Isn't there some kind of intelligence that your department wants about the U.S. or our troops that would make them send for me, to carry to them while we are marking time, waiting to get into our training camp? I'm so far away from what's happening that I don't feel as if I'm in France, and am curious beyond description to put up where there's activity. My regiment is 313th F. A. and my brigade, 155th F. A., Gen. Heines, and I surely hope I get a look at you before we get into position, for then I imagine I'll not have the slightest chance for a visit. If you can get to where I am at any time, come running. Where's the bride? Haven't time for a real letter, so will say au revoir and hope to see you, somewhere. Hastily, and as ever Faithfully yours Oliver P. Newman
