Page 12 We are becoming more politically educated. Hispanics are now being registered to vote in unheard of numbers. Hispanics all over the country are becoming more politically active than in any time in the history of our country. We no longer are swayed to vote for a Anglo politicians who promise the moon and all the cheese we can eat. We are tired of promises. We are tired of being spectators of a democratic process which ignores out social and economic needs. We want to be participants of the democratic process. We want to control our own destiny We want our independence Many Hispanics are being elected and reelected to political offices all over the country because of their qualifications.
