The answer, my friends, is very simple. It is contained in one word. Love. Love is a powerful force which can bring about miraculous changes. I am not talking about the sexually debasing love that Hollywood spits out in millions of images which it peddles for profit under the title of film productions. I am not talking about the romanticized love of novels, soap operas, and pop songs. I'm talking about the love demonstrated by a young paperboy in Davenport who saved his paper route money to buy a TV for an old lady in a nursing home. This young samaritan visits her on a regular basis to bring cheer and love into her lonely existence. I'm talking about the christ-like love which motivated Mahatma Ghandhi to serve his people humbly and faithfully. Through his leadership the heavy yoke of colonialism was lifted from an entire nation. I'm talking about the committed love for humanity of Martin Luther King Jr. who served as the conscience of our nation. He made us realize that liberty and justice for all has an unfulfilled promise for minority groups. He took us further down the road towards equal opportunity for all.
