TO THE EDITOR:

Answers are being sought to prevent impending race riots this summer but in spite of all efforts the packaged violence of the big city ghettos is certain to be delivered C.O.D. and all Americans of every shade creed, and walk of life will pay the charges. The pipers, in the form of extremists both black and white are calling forth potential rioters and the price they will exact will be a nightmare of devilish glory in blood and destruction. 
It is time for Americans to wake up and realize that the real culprit who has set the stage for the instigators of race riots is their own blindness in failing to recognize the underlying causes of the violence ridden atmosphere of the ghettos. Ghetto mentality has been conditioned to violence through years of witnessing knifings, shootings, muggings, hoodluism, teenage gang fights, because of lack of police protection. Violence is merely a manifestation of frustrations boiling up like a volcano from the depths of ghettoed hell where the intense pressures are generated. These pressures are of oppression, misery, despair, desperation, and anger infused in a people by social inequities which force them to lead a life totally inimical to their health, happiness, and natural aspiration to decency and dignity. Repressed into a torality of hopelessness drives people to grasp at a straw in the wind or in  whirlwind if it poses a glimmer of hope for a better way of life. Like a chemical reaction, when people are compelled to live in sub human conditions and certain noxious elements, in the person of slum-lords, loan sharks, dope peddlers, and a host of king
