The City of Fort Madison had taken another step forward by placing a Negro on their labor force! Comment has been made to the effect that some members are not attending meetings because of dis-satisfaction with the activities of the group. This can be changed only by those who dislike the agenda or don't agree with it, being present at the meetings and contributing their ideas and energy to the group. Criticism is good for everyone. Come out to the next meeting.... and let everyone hear your opinions! Selective Buying Campaign The Governor's executive order, affirming the Public Accommodations decree, of this state, has added strength to that law. Because of this, we find it no longer necessary to carry restricted establishments in our newsletter. However, eternal vigilance is essential and any violations should be reported immediately.
