Fort Madison, Branch OF THE National Association for the Advancement of Colored People NEWSLETTER SEPTEMBER 13, 1968 Fort Madison, Iowa 52627 We wish to thank everyone who worked and those who were generous in donating for the annual picnic of the Fort Madison, Branch, NAACP. REGULAR MEMBERSHIP MEETING will be held.... SUNDAY - SEPTEMBER 15, 1968 at CITY HALL The annual Iowa State Conference will convene in Davenport, Iowa, - September 27th through 28th, at the Hotel Blackhawk. Persons wishing room reservations should make them directly trhough the hotel. Reservation cards are available and may be obtained by contacting the Branch Administrative Secretary. The conference will mark the Golden Anniversary of the Davenport Branch and will have as its guest Banquet Speaker, Julian Bond of the Georgia State Legislature.
