FROM THE EDITOR'S TYPEWRITER [Image of a typewriter] Well-uh-here it is: the first issue of Paradox. Hmmmmmm. Quite a few errors in the typing--but, for a first issue not so bad---maybe. Hectographing. Yeah. And it could be better. Could be worse, too. Or could It? Not much of a variety of material, either. Each article or story takes up several pages. Maybe you'd rather fea-tures, mmmmm? In case you haven't notice it, all the material in this issue pertains to Time-Travel. However, since material on the sub-ject is hard to get, in our next issue we'll publish other types of Science Fiction. Yeah, and speaking of stories and articles, we'll need more materials for our next issue. Send 'em in fans...on any subject. If we get enough letters, we'll have a letter department in our next ish. If [underlined] we get enough letters. Come on readers, give with the criticism. If your ed can get hold of a mimeo before we start on the next issue, Number Two of Paradox will be mimeo'd. If it's hecto'd you can be sure that the third issue will be mimeographed. Material on time-travel is quite scarce. the pro-mags pub-lish enough time-travel fiction, but there are too few articles on TT. The only remarkable article on the subject published to date, is "Language for Time Travellers" (Astounding) By L. Sprague de Camp. Another good article dealing with TT was "Time-Travel Happens" by AMPhillips, which appeared in Unknown. Geography for Time Travellers" by Willy Ley (Astounding) was fairly good. "Time Table for Earth", (TWS) by CPMason, though it did not deal with time travel [underlined], had some interesting information on the recording of time. To change the subject: next issue we may stick in some extra departments. Then again, we may not. What we mean is, if you readers want some departments, we'll have some. When you write us, give us your opinion on the subject. And any suggestions on saying would be appreciated. So... until the next issue...Adiau [signature]
