Phillips & Jack Williamson, but hesitate listing them inasmuch as we have no pretense of keeping up with the authors and illustrators. Williamson was stationed but fifty miles from here a few weeks ago, but was unable at any time to get over here for a week-end, altho we tempted him with fried chicken and stuff. The femmes join too! As this is written we know of two femme fans who are making arrangements to join the WAACs. If they succeed, you'll find their names listed above next month. Imagine that! Tomkins, late of Battle Creek, Michigan is reported going to Officer's Candidate school in Chicago but we can't confirm it as yet. We seem to recall seeing in print in some recent fanzine a report that an American fan had been killed in action, but cannot now find such a bulletin. If true, will the responsible editor (or some fan remembering it) please inform us, quoting source? Our thanx. Fans in service are entitled to LeZ gratis; altho we accept renumeration from them. We do expect all of them to acknowledge receipt of issues ... at least once in a while. ip pip, BT
