May 2, 1918 Dear Old Girl, My hair is standing up as stiff and straight as the bristles of a hairbrush after reading the clipping and your letter about the trapping of the baron. I'm scared - I'm scared at what might have happened. And I'd give something to know how the thing has turned out. Dearest, from what you and the clipping tell me and what I read between lines, I can see that you did some extraordinarily clever work.
