there I saw two of them climb into their machines and go flying off into Germany. A few minutes later they were back laughing at the way they had been shelled by the anti-aircraft guns; it was of no more consequence to them than an auto driver's encounters with the roadside hens. Bye and bye the chap came in who had got the Boche. He blushed and got all confused when his pals congratulated him and inquired into the details of the fight. Finally, I saw six machines take to the air and go away in formation for patrol work. It's a marvelous sight to watch them go up and work out the evolutions by which they finally get away together behind their leader. The exhaustion of my paper stock compels me to stop.
