Seventy three. May 9, 1918 Light of my life, - Madame Flamerion didn't know. When she went out into the woods and gathered the muguets; when she tied them in a neat boquet; when she put them in a dainty blue vase; when she put them on my table before your picture - she didn't know. She didn't know that the beauty of their tiny white cups and delicate stems and the delicious sweetness of their perfume were impressed in my memory as part of the record of that wonderful day when you married me.
