This year the cold delayed the blossoming of the muguets, but on the first day that she could find them Madame brought them to us. She meant them for you especially because she put them before your picture. But I am enjoying them too -- more deeply than she knows. I shall send them to you - part in this letter and part in a box. They will arrive wilted and crushed, unfortunately, but perhaps some of their sweetness will linger and mean something of the delight to you that it has meant to me.
