You answer my inquiry about the money quickly. I only wrote it two nights ago. If you don't mind, I should like to know whether the bank sent you certificates for the monthly allotments for savings deposit or merely told you the amounts had been credited. Much to my surprise in view of the extraordinary prices I pay for some things - sixty dollars a month for food, f''rinstance - I have accumulated about 2,000 francs (I put it in francs because it sounds larger) since I have been here. It must be because there is so little opportunity to spend money for things
