But we couldn't have it if we had to pay $50 for it or even the half of it. It has been dry to, but it is astonishing how things grow; Our garden looks fine as does all the others. It is astonishing also, how every one is planting stuff. Every available bit of ground. Oh we are going to have the food to help the bullets win this war. If it is, as some say, Gods war we are going to help Him and He will help us. There is occasionally one not very patriotic, but it is going to be made so hot for them they will be glad to be patriotic and do their "bit" if for no other reason than to save their mean, old hides. Oh we get "worked up" here, as well as elsewhere, and the other Sunday morning we applauded
