Seventy-seven May 14, 1918. My Sweetheart, - I am starting my second year in the uniform today. It was a year ago today that I abandoned the "cits" and took the oath to do my d---st for our Uncle Sammie. And I have not had on "cits" since then. How funny it would seem to have loose trousers flapping about my skinny shanks and to have to tie a four-in-hand at my collar! Looking back, it seems that the time has gone very swiftly.
