In a grove into which I strayed I came upon Ernest Peixotto doing an exquisite sketch of a quaint old barnyard that is now filled with U.S. wagons and automobiles and men and mules. Do you know his etchings? Raemaekers, the great Dutch cartoonist is here. He has delicate pink cheeks and a moustache and goatee. I can half shut my eyes when I look at him and think I am seeing a Van Dyke portrait. He speaks Dutch, French, English, German and a few other languages very well. He is going up to the front to get material for sketches of the Yanks in the trenches. If the kaiser knew he were to be there I'll wager every German gun opposite would
