my respects at the funeral of Major Lufberry, who was our greatest American air fighter. He was killed in a battle over Toul Sunday. The funeral was powerfully impressive. In addition to the usual military formalities there was a demonstration by airmen. They swooped low over the cemetery and threw bunches of roses on the casket and the crowd. Lufberry's orderly stood there with tears in his eyes and a lot of nurses wept audibly. He was much loved as well as much respected for his prowess in the air. Good news has come about Hall. He was taken prisoner, not killed. Both his arms were broken in his fall, but he'll come
