out all right and live to write more good books. It was a happy moment when I heard how he had escaped. Seven letters bearing January postmarks have just reached me, forwarded from the Sanborns. They were sent from New York April 30. Surely the Sanborns must have gone on a long jag just after those letters reached them. I haven't heard anything from them - and I'll be blanked if I'll write to them again until I do. Fortunately none of your letters arrived at their house after I left. The seven are from my home folks - the lot that missed me.
