sing the time. I fear you regretted not having gone on with the correspondents. But it is always thus in the afternoon. From two o'clock until 4:30 or 5:00 I am busy with a task that may not be delayed and should not be slighted. Today I received an announcement of the marriage of Bill Hurlburt and Alice Willard. It happened on April 6th. Bill is at Camp Custer in the 340th Infantry. Macetta writes that Walter Barngrover is also married. She didn't know the girl's name, but he told me last August that his girl was a Miss Smith of Cedar Rapids. Just how much of a guide that is, I would not venture to guess. He is at Camp Dodge. Macetta's school closed last Friday. I am very glad she is through with it early. It has been a hard year for her, despite the bravery that marks her attitude. I trust that Daphne is finishing the school year in good health. I know her spirits will always be of the best. Sincerely you friend, Arthur.
