Eighty-three. May 23, 1918. My very ownest,- Today was very quiet. After we had shooed everyone but the immediate inner circle off on trips there was not much to do. Consequentially, i got away from the bureau from 2 to 4 in the afternoon. Because the sun was rather hot for comfort I sought my room took off my boots and stretched out. I read O. Henry stories awhile. Like him? I hope you do because I want to read some of his stories with you. Later I had a siesta, and wound up fitter'n fit to go to work on the
