Eighty-five. Saturday Night, May 25, 1918. Dearest, dearest Girl,- Wha ya think? I've been having a spree - and I'm intoxishicat'd. Shure shing, ol' top, shure shing. But listen, I mean lissten, I haven't been drinking. It was a spree of letter-reading, and I am intoxicated on the letters my wife wrote. There were four of them. I am getting reckless about your letters, getting into the habit of consuming all of them without pause. Tonight I went straight through them as fast as I could open envelopes and read. And
