Eight-nine May 31, 1918 Darlingest, Friday didn't mean nothin' to me this time. The mail came but with no letters from you in the bunch. In fact I received none of any sort. That is the result of my having such good luck earlier in the week. I suppose you notice I have let two full days slip by without writing to you. Night before last I gave my time to our mother and last night I was beastly tired that I lost not a moment getting into pajamas and bed. My plans to spend yesterday
