By the way, I've heard that there is nothing to the report that we are to get furlough's after twenty-one months service. I reckon we'll just have to hurry up and put an end to the whole war in order to get home. Your little stunt of going swimming in the rain storm was a dandy! a lollypolooger! It must have been great entertainment for the neighbors when the lightning flashed. Or were they wise to it? No, I'm not shocked - a little private show of that sort seems to me all right. But please don't be encouraged into anything like duplicating Lady Godiva's stunt - in my absence. I've just gone to the assistance of a captain who is billeted here. He had been trying to unlock his way into the house; and not succeeding.
