Saving...
137 Mercredi, 7 Aout, 1918 Ma belle femme,-- Last night I speculated for one fleeting moment whether I should write to you. Then I begin hurling my clothes as fast as I could. I was too tired to do anything but sleep. I had been at G.H.Q. all day. By command of my chief I had gone over to write about the decoration of General Pershing for the correspondents who could not be there. The ceremony took place at 9 o'clock in the morning. In a hollow square formed by French and American troops and officers from the headquarters staff the general faced the President of France.
