chair that sings. I believe furniture should be seen and not heard!! The house hadn't been aired since they kept a cat, and -- oh well, what's the use? I didn't like the place, and they weren't crazy about having roomers, so -- that's finished. This afternoon we are going to Martha's. She is entertaining some of the ladies of her street while one lady of her street is away on a visit. That's business, I claim. Daggont! Here is the post man, and I didn't get this posted. It will have to wait until this afternoon now. On this delivery came the bill from Turpin's for storing our goods and freighting it. It amounted to $18.60 altogether, which is much less than I was expecting, because we have such a lot of stuff. I'm writing Mr. McChesney to credit our checking account with the next $50.00 check that comes in,
