October 19, 1970 In appreciation for all of the deeds performed and in conjunction with our Mortgage Project for Bethel African Methodist Church, our group, under the chairmanship of Mrs Vernon (Betty) Oney, is going to sponsor a "Beautiful Life" on Miss Cecile Cooper. It will be held Sunday, November 1, 1979 at 7:00 PM at Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, 323 West 11, Davenport, Iowa. Miss Cooper has been and still is a most faithful and dedicated worker toward her church, community and the human race. There is no job that she undertakes that she does not do the very best. We know that there are many people who work, or who have worked with Miss Cooper that would like to participate in this event in some way. If you so desire, please send a card of well wishes and/or a contribution to Bethel AME Mortgage fund in honor of Miss Cooper. A statement will be printed showing list of donors so that a complete financial record may be published. Please send cards and/or donations to Mrs. Betty Oney, 1325 Eastern, Davenport, Iowa 52803. Do not put Cecile Cooper's name on the envelope as it may be routed to her by mistake and this is to be a surprise. It will be appreciated if cards could arrive as soon as possible as we are going to assemble them in to some form or shape to present to Miss Cooper. Sincerely yours, MRS. BETTY ONEY Chairman BO/vp
