PAGE 11. Buxton. was unable to find out the other girls name. This strange girl was being fitted with a pair of shoes and Rachael I am sure who perhaps just came along-for the ride at 20 or 21 years of age. I am now 15 or 16 years old myself and I heard Rachael ask Charley for the second time if she could go back there in the bed room where I was and by this time I am terrified any by fear of the unknown I am frighten half to death because I was afraid he was going to say yes to Rachael which he did. From what I had seen and heard in the past I knew that what might take place would a real disaster. She came in and threw the cover back and laid half across me; I tried to pretend that I was asleep but I think she knew I was stalling; then there was some hugging and kissing which did cause me to relax somewhat; then there was a session which lasted about seven seconds to anybody's watch even though it was set on fast time. The second time around which was about five minutes later I gave a better account of myself although it was nothing to crow about. What I thought I always needed was more time, something like two or three more years; The store was alive for nearly two years after which it withered and died but it did leave me with an unforgettable memory for his was the first time I had found out the vast immense difference between men and women. When God created Eve He sure gave the world one perfect Masterpiece. I am sure Charley would have agreed with me for in two weeks later he came into the store around twelve o'clock that night and I knew both of the girls; one was Anne and the other one was a married woman about 23 years of age and she was the most beautiful of all the girls I had seen him with and her husband was hansom also and always dressed like a fashion plate. Charley made all the concessions at his command to seduce her into his way of thinking but she kept refusing and told him that she would go back into the bed room where I was if he would let her and he refused and I was glad because I did not want to suffer too much embarresment while I was yet only 15 or 16 years old; but there was one thing I was reminded of and that was from the first event; I was not a virgin anymore; but what a sensational and thrilling experience that envelops the whole body and soul. I was still afraid of what might happen again so I went home where we had four bed rooms upstairs and three down stairs so I selected the south west room which was the most remote upstairs. Mr. John Walker had the first room at the top of the stairs and anybody wanting to get to my room would have to pass by his room. I thought I was safe at last from any kind of embarsment but I was no though only on a small scale. I went to DesMoines every few weeks and brought back each time a suit case full of books; fiction technical and other classicks I read everything from Paul Bunion down to Little Red Riding Hood. I used most of those two or three years reading. Mr. Addison Rhodes of 75 years had a shoe cobbler shop in the East end of the shoe store
