PAGE 40 Buxton. We all sat down for dinner to a long table with extra leaves in it for at times there would be a dozen people to be served at one time. I was on the south side with two people to my right which opened straight through into the kitchen so from where I sat I had complete vision through the kitchen door righ into the pantry door where the press or safe, as it was usually called. The dishes were in the top and in the middle were the knives and forks and the bott was used for storage; as I looked past my two companions on my right I saw my mother in the pantry rearanging the dishes with the two glass doors opened completely and I could not believe it so I stared without lowering the lid of m eyes for I was up and started to that pantry door when she closed the two glass doors to the cupbard and stepped back out of sight and when I looked in, there was nobody there, so then I knew that Halluciation exemplified "A disease of the eye". Even your subconscious mind does queer things while you are asleep. My relatives which had been dead for over a half centry are never dead in my dreams but are always alive. Maryjane was the next to leave and she went over into Illinois and married. now Sweet was the only one left (his name was (Edward) and he went to Chicago and later got into a confrontation with a fellow that show him and he died almost instantly. Boss came to Buxton eight years later and said that his brother and family of four went out one evening to gather some mushrooms and as a consequence the whole family died from the frog stools that they thought were mushrooms. In Buxton there were two John Bakers and it made a tangle mess sometime but to discriminate between the two, one was called " One thumb John and the other one was drunken John." with a mixed marriage with two sons; Willie 10 an 5
