scarcely resist skipping along the streets instead of walking at a dignified, married, respectable sort of pace. The air is full of wood smoke, and the sunshine is golden! Truly, it's an Indian summer day. I feel years and years young today! Almost the bobbed hair are, in fact, and I want to grab somebodie's little paw and race off to the woods. Does your little paw feel grabable? All the way down town I had a wild desire to smile and say "hello" to every one I met, and if I only dared lift up my voice and bark at an old kill-joy who sits here near me, I'd feel better. When you are here, and such days as this are come along, i shall descend upon you in your class room, if I like, and bear you off bodily, right in the presence of your students. Somebody has to walk with me
