Once when we were talking about whether you'd be kept over there Ernest got quite chesty about his brother and was pointing out various things about you that proved what an exceptional sort you are. Of course I very modestly agreed with him and added that people who knew had been heard to remark that you wrote perfect French. Ernest was fussed to tears and looked around to see who had betrayed him, but Judas was busy with a drumstick and didn't look up. We were all going to write you last night but I found another Tom Cat here (please get this right) when we reached home & immediately notified the lady next door who is wild to have a cat. (this also!) She came over after him, and we had some time persuading him that he should attend her home, tho she sat down and carefully
