Dec 7, 1918 Dearest Conger, - I thought this would be my last day here, since it is the end of the week, but I am invited to return next week for the afternoons at least, and more than likely the mornings. I'm glad of it too, because I can earn a little jag of Christmas money this way. I received notice today that your box was at the post office so I'll go down town armed with $1.15 and rescue it. I'm wild to see the things for everybody. It will be so nice to have something from over there. I had a real slangy letter from Mother Reynolds. That drefful woman spoke of the major who carried your Xmas
