PM Dec 9 1918 Sweetestheart, - Why, oh why don't some letters come from you? After the one telling about the signing of the armistice, you seem to have lapsed into oblivion. Of course, I know you've written but durn it, the letters don't come, and I'm sure one of them will say you're coming home for Christmas. A woman told me a few days ago that she'd heard from her son who is an aviator. She had written about having him home, Christmas and his reply was not to look for him before a year from Christmas, for there is so much to be done over there. Is there anything to that, dear? Not the last part because of course I know there is oodles to be done, but will it be so long before you can come home? I'm going to begin having fits at once, if you have to stay away much longer. I'm not going out to Arthur
