Had roast goose with all the other things that go with it for dinner. There was a bright open fire in the library where we sat and so while I sat there in a big easy chair in the corner between a reading lamp and book case I could see you sitting in this same chair resting and reading which we hope will soon happen, but we are not going to whine or complain about it. I am just so glad you have been and still are a brave, loyal soldier doing your duty as you see it. I'm more in love with your wife (our girl) the oftener I see her she is so homey and domestic and she is so lovely to everyone of us. Tomorrow we have dinner
