I've been in bed since Christmas night up to today except for the few minutes when I was up Friday and couldn't make a go of it and the time I spent coming to the hospital Saturday morning. It hasn't been half bad business. Indeed, I've rather enjoyed most of it from which you can know I have not been very ill. To lie calmly in bed allowing one's system to reorganize a bit is not so unpleasant. In bed I felt fairly well most of the time; it was only when I stood on my feet that the world went wrong. And knowing that I had fever I knew that my place was in bed. So I stayed in my room from
