P-C May 7, 1971 'FOG MACHINE'-In an attempt to subdue an estimat- ed 250 person who had marched to the Johnson County Jail to "visit their brothers and sisters" confined there, sheriff's deputies appeared at 10:45 p.m. at College and Clinton Streets with a "pepper fogger." The machine and its irritating chemical cloud drove most of the crowd back to the Pentacrest area, but then the fogger developed mechanical trouble. (Photos by Joseph A. Novotny)
