They charge "police brutality" at Tuesday's demonstrations. " war complicity on campus" and demand that Bowen establish a committee to set a "reasonable" policy toward job recruiters on campus, both military and private ( Press-Citizen Photo) [handwritten] 12/6/67 P-C 18 Protestors Arrested ; Two Held Under $500 Bond Eighteen demonstrators were arrested by Iowa City officials during Tuesday's anti-Dow anti-war protests on the University of Iowa campus. Most of the arrested persons were charged with disorderly conduct, but two were charged with conspiracy, a felony punishable by up to three years in prison. The two, Paul Kleinberger of 101 Westlawn Park and Ross J. Peterson of 219 East Bloomington Street, are in Johnson County Jail in lieu of $500 bonds. Both were also arrested in the Nov. 1 demonstration in which 108 persons were charged. Kleinberger and Peterson are accused by police of using "walkie-talkies" to coordinate the movements of demonstrators, and to warn them of the approach of law enforcement officers.
